CRATE - revolutionising the way we work in BIM Thursday, Feb 23, 2017

CRATE has been conceived from a need to provide information in a simple and robust format that can be leveraged in a Building Information Modelling (BIM) framework. The user can view, compare, select and model lighting solutions in a BIM environment.

What is Crate?

  • ·      This meeting will provide you with an understanding on how CRATE can bridge the gap between stakeholders, provide a framework that’s clear and simple to use, speed up development from architectural design to building and construct and can reduce miscommunication and errors.
  • ·      Enables lighting designers, electrical engineers and architects, to control what products they have specified, customize the product according to specifications, and can give you access to all the information you need in one place.

Objectives To provide:

  • ·      across platform solutions such as, Revit, Vectorworks, ArchiCAD and Sketchup
  • ·      unified luminaire selector that flattens the industry and provides a platform available to all stakeholders
  • ·      content generator, that is geometrically and visually correct and that is data rich, to set standards and embeds useable and reliable approved IES files for use in BIMs.
  • ·      Easy to use, with a familiar, and robust interface.
  • ·      Industry managed, independent from suppliers and manufacturers

We invite you to participate in our technical presentation where we will discuss
