The Guide Offers:
There are some alternative routes by which persons may, under certain circumstances, achieve upgrades. Details of these are described in the Guide.
The Guide to Membership fully describes the requirements for the various grades, the educational qualifications, the definitions of “approved lighting practice” and the means by which members may demonstrate their professional standing.
The Guide then describes in detail the process by which members may apply for upgrade, including a step-by-step set of instructions on how to make applications.
The Guide also describes the additional qualification of Registered Lighting Practitioner (RLP), open to Members and Fellows whose main business is lighting design. Also described is the introduction of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), which is mandatory for those holding RLP status and voluntary for all members.
Finally the Guide describes the grade of Corporate member. This is a summary only of the full 13-page Guide to Membership and those seeking further information should obtain a copy.
