The IESANZ Lighting Awards program provides a unique opportunity for public and industry recognition of professionalism, ingenuity, and originality in lighting and luminaire design. This program is not a competition, but rather highlights excellence in lighting.
Judging is based upon the individual merit of each entry against specific criteria, and judges are selected from a broad professional spectrum that represents knowledge of lighting and design excellence. We also recognise other significant achievements through a range of national and international awards, including service to the industry.

IESANZ Awards other than Lighting Awards
The document below gathers together into one consolidated document descriptions about, and Rules for all of the various IES Awards and Memorials (other than lighting awards) that have been established. This includes those created by the previous five Australian Regional Societies together with the previous New Zealand Society, prior to the establishment of the single entity Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand (IES The Lighting Society), on 1st July 2001. These Awards are now referred to as Chapter Awards.
